In this video we are demonstrating the proper installation for our RTV-X Transmission Cover. The first step in the installation is to remove the top-most bolt on the Muffler Mounting Bracket using a 14mm socket size as shown. Then, remove the two upper bolts holding either the factory rear plate or our Receiver Hitch Extension/Skid Plate. These will require either a 12mm or 13mm socket depending on the vehicle. Once these bolts are removed, align the Transmission Cover so that the UTV Hitchworks Stencil reads correctly. Replace the bolts in the same locations they were in previously. Be sure to hand tighten only at this time. Once this is done, raise the dump bed fully and check for clearance between the dump bed and the Transmission Cover. You may need to adjust the Transmission Cover to achieve this clearance. Once this is done, tighten the bolts fully. Then, put a piece of paper on the Transmission Cover and raise the dump bed fully. The piece of paper should slide out easily. If it does not, adjust the Transmission Cover to provide the clearance so that it does. Completed installation should look like this with the factory plate and like this with the Receiver Hitch Extension/Skid Plate.
